We knew the weather would be rough, so we decided to stay inside. I spent 9 peaceful hours on my front porch in Wyoming, with the sky overcast, providing soft, beautiful light throughout the day. It rained hard a couple of times, but it felt like a blessing.

We’ve been feeding at least four hummingbirds, and I had the incredible opportunity to capture a photo of all four. Hummingbirds are so special. Their wings move so quickly that the human eye can barely keep up, but I was able to freeze their motion in mid-air. I’m always amazed by their ability to fly backward and hover, something no other bird can do quite like them.
